Cubicle Shed Extension

Works Included

This was an exciting Cubicle Shed Extension for the team here at Robinsons. One of our previous clients in the area wanted to extend the cubicle shed we previously erected for them at the gable end by 80ft to allow them to house their developing dairy unit.

Our architectural team designed the extension to the current shed to client’s requirements, and the project involved substantial groundwork by our team to level the site and prepare the foundations for the building.

They decided to continue the head to head rows of cubicles which meant the exterior was enclosed using 1.5m high, 90mm thick concrete panels, cladded with timber space boarding.   For added ventilation we increased the spacing to a 22mm gap between the boards.

Timber Purlins were chosen with Fibre Cement used for the roofing alongside roof lights in order to continue on from the previous shed design. An open ridge with upstands was selected by the customer, limiting water ingress whilst allowing added ventilation from above.  Galvanised box guttering was chosen to finish the building.

The internal layout comprised of a continuation of a concreted central feed passage with each bay enclosed with the FarmFit Agritubel Fiabilis 9 head space yokes for handling on top of 0.6m panels.
