Robinsons acknowledged for expansion in 2016

Robinsons have scooped a commendation award at the 5th Annual Herald Family Business Award Ceremony held in association with Business Gateway at the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow.
Shortlisted for 2 awards out of the eleven categories, Robinsons were lucky enough to scoop the commendation award up against some stiff competition during the evening cementing their success as one of the upcoming construction companies in Scotland.
The Herald Scottish Family Business Awards celebrate firms which flourish under family ownership, recognising excellence in areas such as innovation, customer service and international growth.
Robinsons took home the commendation award for Fastest Growing Family Business in Scotland. The competition this year was strong with companies covering all sectors and industries of business in Scotland who have all excelled over the past year and who proved to be fierce competition in judging this year due to their recent accomplishments.

Run by father and son Jim and Ryan Brown, they have grown the business over the last 11 years and the business has remained a real family affair with the addition of Ryan’s wife Linda and his brother Sam.
By incorporating their traditional family values with a modern and innovative approach the 2 generations of Browns are set to take the company to new heights over the next few years with Jim and Ryan planning to expand the business even further; with two new factories, currently in development, it indicates a commitment to expansion and a willingness to invest in the Lockerbie community.
Indeed, this project will ensure that they continue to employ well over 100 Dumfries & Galloway people, supporting the community and sustaining a solid manufacturing footprint in the region. With no plans on slowing down anytime soon the two generations of the Brown family are set to take Robinsons to new heights over the coming years.
