Robinsons Round Up Winter 2019
Mar 29, 2019
Well, 2019 is well underway and what a difference a day makes in British Weather! Our sites have been experiencing some interesting weather and these pictures were taken over just a 1 week period at the end of January!
Fingers crossed that we are heading for some calmer weather now that we move into spring. Our teams will be seeing industrial projects currently in the design phase, coming on line in Cumbria, North Wales and Central Scotland covering Food, Drink, Energy and Commercial sectors not forgetting the new Baptist Church building in Peebles and a range of exciting agricultural builds.
A huge thank you to all our dedicated and hardworking teams – always going that extra mile, we could not do it without you all!
One of our most exciting projects so far this year has been the Air Lock recladding at Dundas Chemicals in Dumfries where the team undertook a complex cladding strip while the building was in use, a big thank you to the teams who stripped and refitted the cladding.
Another local project that is a perfect example of a farm that is diversifying is that of Ernespie Farm in Castle Douglas who will soon be opening a farm and coffee shop including a children’s play area and outdoor activities for the family; we are very excited to be working on this project and helping a local family bring their ideas into fruition. We will keep you updated on all the progress as it will definitely be worth a visit when it is open for business!
Our Team News:
We also want to say a big congratulations to Robert Wilson from our workshop who has now been with the company for 10 years. A valued member of the team, your continued contributions are vital for us to be able to continue being successful in meeting our stated mission, values and vision. We’ve also expanded our transport and site teams and we want to say a big welcome to Keith Handley and Paul Graham, our new HGV 1 drivers; Ryan Glendinning in our workshop; Conor Rae and John McClung who are joining our site teams!
Our transport department has expanded over the last few months with the addition some new delivery vehicles to the fleet to ensure that we can have a quicker turnaround and that 100% of our customers deliveries are on time and reduce our driver waiting time for being loaded.
We’ve also taken delivery of 6 new vans which will make sure that our drivers continue travelling the length and breadth of the UK providing first class service to our customers!
Our teams have also been busy doing some moving of their own and we have now created and concreted a whole new yard to stock our fantastic range of FarmFit products so that we can have more available and in stock for our customers.
Our Architectural Division have had a busy few months, using their expert and diverse planning knowledge to navigate through murky world of planning permissions and building warrants in a wide variety of projects including, garage conversions, breathing new life into a farm cottage with a full refurbishment and extension as well as being involved with a customer’s small airport project.
Approval drawings are flying out the door with large scale slurry lagoons and underground tanks in the mix too! (excuse the pun)
We are delighted to add Mark Johnson to the design team. Mark is an expert in internal farm fit out designs and specialises in 3D which can really bring customers designs to life. Mark is working closely with our FarmFit team to create and add to our comprehensive range which will now include livestock handling systems.
We’ve had a busy couple of months working with our customers to create bespoke buildings across different sectors and throughout the UK. We have some exciting projects coming up over the next few months and we can’t wait to share the finished products with you.
