Mental Health Awareness Week 2020
May 21, 2020
Did you know that it is #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek?
Not only do we offer support for our own team, but we are also very proud to be supporters of RSABI, a Scottish charity who provide relief to those going through hardship in the agricultural industry.
Now more than ever it has been important for us to check up on our team members, so we have made extra effort in recent weeks to send out regular updates on how the Robinsons team can look after their mental and physical wellbeing, as well as making regular calls to check up on how everyone is doing. The team have been provided with top tips and resources to keep us all feeling relaxed, motivated, and positive during the current climate, and extra help is always available to those of us on the team who need it! A lot of the team have taken up practicing things such as mindfulness and yoga or are using their daily exercise allocation to get out in the sun and take a walk to relieve any stress. We’d be interested to know if anyone has found anything in particular useful for keeping themselves feeling healthy and positive!
This week serves as a reminder to always #BeKind and #KeepTalking, as you never know what others are going through. Sometimes simply reaching out can provide someone with the assurance they need! If you have been struggling, why not reach out to a friend. family member or colleague? If that feels too daunting, you can contact Samaritans 24-hours a day for emotional support or urgent support (confidentially) any time you need it. Their line is 116 123 and it is FREE to use.
Remember that your are never alone, and there is so much support and an ever-growing number of resources for those who may need it!
