"Working with Robinson’s design and build team was a pleasure from start to finish once they were appointed by Robertson Construction Northern as specialist sub-‐contractor. Developing bespoke bull yokes from their standard range saw on site adjustments made with full size units, and live pedigree bulls, not simply by sketches. Accurate client briefing and design development with Robinson’s team allowed far greater cost control, design quality and end-‐user satisfaction. With Robinson’s appointed to deliver erect clad and hand-‐over a fully functional galvanised steel frame, roof and enclosed facility with Yorkshire board and Gale Breaker screen meant that internal penning and concrete panels all fitted together seamlessly. The critical exemplar of this unified high quality design development within a quality contractor process is that there was no adjustment by grinder or site welding required to correct errors-‐ there simply were none! Progressing an intensive large construction project with Construction Design and Management (CDM) accountability presented no issues for Robinson’s staff, design team or main contractor interaction – clear weekly work planning complimented the Design Revision Process: design-‐out risk via a computer screen ensured that all went smoothly during construction. This for me demonstrated that time and effort invested before starting on site can deliver real time and user benefits in any agricultural project – large or small: value for money project management follows naturally."
